Bulldozer
A Bulldozer is a crawler type tractor set with a giant distinct metal plate used to push. The large plate is called a blade and pushes abundances of soil, rubble, sand, trees, and even to uproot trees during heavy construction labor. The bulldozer is generally equipped with a claw-like device at the rear which is called, in the construction world, as a ripper which is used to release dense materials. The bulldozer is often referred and associated with classic heavy construction machines such as loaders. More specifically, the term refers only to a tracked tractor fitted with a dozer blade.

A Bulldozer is very powerfully tracked heavy equipment. The tracks provide excellent ground hold and mobility on very rough terrain. The width of the tracks help distribute the bulldozer's weight over a great area which decreases pressure and helps prevent possible sinking on less dense ground. In the case that extra wide tracks are needed to avoid sinking on extra light terrain there are swamp tracks that provide excellent weight dispersal. Bulldozers have excellent footing and something called a torque divider made to convert the engine's power to increase dragging capacity. The Cat D9 can drag tanks that weigh over 70 tons. A Bulldozers is sometimes used to push other machines and earthmoving equipment, like a scraper. Many dozer blades have a toughened center piece with this purpose in mind, and are called bull blades. The most renowned bulldozer manufacturer is Caterpillar in the United States of America, which made its name well known by making durable, tough, reliable machines. Komatsu, JCB and John Deere are present-day competitors. These heavy construction machines were originally modified farm tractors which then made their way into mainstream construction projects and progressively were modified for military use and international construction units worldwide.
